I love Sushi! It has always been on the top of list of foods to make myself. I am not a great fan of rice, but I love quinoa--so I tried to use quinoa instead of rice in my sushi recipe. :)
What you need:
- Gamboo roll
- Quinoa
- Nori
- Fresh salmon sushi-grade
- Vegetables to fill (cucumber, carrot, pepper ...)
- Avocado, Cream Cheese or pure peanut butter can "stick" to quinoa grains.
- Soy sauce; Fish sauce; Wasabi
You can easily cook quinoa. For each cup of quinoa, add 2 cups of water. Cook for about 20 minutes. Add desired salt / vegetable stock / lemon juice (quinoa absorbs the flavor namely). Cool down, when done, on a flat plate spread.
Place the nori sheet on the bamboo roller.
