During NYFW, the most delightful and refreshing show we saw was Nanette Lepore's Ready-to-Wear SS15 Collection. With a very bohemian vacation inspiration, the collection really bend captured a cheerful and comfort-chic vibe. She included many yellows and blush pinks integrated with deep patterns, on pieces including sporty swimwear and flowy silky slips, perfect for the dreamy summer vacation to the South of France. For the slightly simple but edgier look, she incorporated some loose frocks with sharp and deep V-necks. Everything about this collection screams a beachy summer get-away.
We also had the pleasure to watch Nanette Lepore's 16-year-old daughter, Violet Savage, close the show with her catwalk debut. This was proceeded with a jovial, fun-spirited congo line with all the models, led by Nanette Lepore's brother and niece at the front of the line. (You can view photos on our IG.)
The designer shared with FVM very interesting sets of images of her models. Below, for each model, see how she looks on catwalk against her pre-hair and makeup Polaroid. The results are quite revealing!
